My name is James R. Atah. I was born on this farm, and I have raised my family on this same land that my father devoted over 70 years of his life to. There is no purchase price for that kind of history — it lives in the soil, in the fences, and in every animal we breed.
Over 25 years ago I began focusing on miniature highland cattle. What started as a passion for these remarkable animals grew into one of the most respected breeding programs in the country. Every genetic decision, every breeding pair, every calf born at Mini Highland Farm reflects 25 years of accumulated knowledge and genuine love for this breed.
Today my wife and our five children work alongside me every single day. Our kids have grown up handling these animals from birth — which is precisely why our cattle are so calm, so people-friendly, and so well-suited to family farms.
We do not mass produce. We do not cut corners on genetics or health. We raise a carefully curated herd of the finest miniature highland cattle we can breed, and we place each animal with families we believe will give them the life they deserve.
